Abstract

Reliable forest biomass assessments are important for addressing climate change and biodiversity decline. Climate Convention parties often need to report annual carbon pool changes. Remote sensing sources are essential for obtaining these estimates in some regions and enhancing accuracy where better technologies are available, although highly reliable outcomes remain challenging.
