Abstract
The first record of the weevil (Curculionidae) Gasterocercus depressitrostris (Fabricius 1792) from Sweden is reported. It was found in a Lindgren funnel trap at the harbour of Mönsterås (Småland, SE Sweden) between 13 and 30 June 2023. The species live on oak-wood and was formerly regarded as a relict of ancient forests, but has recently become much more common. It is distributed in continental Europe. The record in Sweden is therefore supposed to come with import of oak-wood.
