An intra-and inter-limb dys-coordination with substantial use of braking impulses was demonstrated in the stroke group. This motor strategy differed markedly from the smooth force interaction in the control group. These results might be important in the development of treatment models related to locomotion post-stroke. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
