TheCommunity system for monitoring and collecting of information on zoonoses was established by Council Directive 92/117/ECC. This Directive was replaced in 2004 by a new Directive 2003/99/EC, layin down revised rules for monitoring and reporting. The new Directive covers reporting of data on zoonotic agents in animals, foodstuffs and feedingstuffs, as well as on antimicrobial resistance and food-bone autbreaks. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is required to examine the dta collected and to prepare the Community Summary ReportPublished in
