Abstract

Landscapes are under constant development and exposure to various environmental, sociological, and economic influences, creating an ongoing need to find new research approaches in landscape architecture. General fragmentation in the theory and practice of landscape architecture and a tendency for short-term research projects calls for integrated long-term approaches. We present a model for a combined governance and management approach with a more integrated, transdisciplinary and long-term focus on landscape development.
