Rhizomorph anatomy confirms the taxonomic position of Sclerogaster (Phaliomycetidae, Basidiomycota)

Abstract

The anatomy of the rhizomorphs of the hypogeous gasteroid basidiomycete Sclerogaster compactus is described. its molecular taxonomic position in the gomphoid-phalloid clade is confirmed on morphological grounds
