Variationsmönster hos grundvattennivåerna i skogsmark: fältstudier i Norunda under hösten 1995
Ingvar-Nilsson NiklasAbstract
The aim of this study was to get a deeper understanding of the quick rise of groundwater table in a forest area. During the summer of 1995 19 groundwater pipes were established in two longer transects (A and B) in order to monitor the variability in time and space of the groundwater table. The pipes was measured every 1-3 weeks with a blowpipe from late summer to early winter. A short transect (E) was established in autumn 1995 on a gentle slope in the area with 7 groundwater pipes in order to make a detailed study. The short transect was measured both manually, with a blowpipe, and automatically, with a logger. For the two long transects, it was found that the correlation between the pipes was not depended of the distance between the different pipes. It was also found that the correlation on the first half of the period was generally much lower than the later half of the period. The automatic measurements revealed that the rising of the groundwater table was very quick (hours). The most important soil factors for controlling the fluctuations of the ground water table may be the hydraulic conductivity and the effective porosity of the soilKeywords
