Effekten av jordkonditioneringsmedlet ammonium-lauret-sulfat på den hydrauliska konduktiviteten i vattenmättat tillstånd i två svenska lerjordar

Karlsson, Ingrid

Abstract

An investigation including analysis of both density, particle density and saturated hydraulic conductivity was carried out on treated and non-treated undisturbed soil cores. The soils investigated were of two types, one loam and one clay soil. The soils were treated with a soil conditioner, ammonium-lauret-sulphate, which was diluted with water. Porosity and bulk density was on the whole very little effected by the soil conditioner. The saturated hydraulic conductivity for water was, however, slightly increased on both soils after application of the treatment. In one case the increase in conductivity on the treated cores proved to be significantly separable from the untreated cores. The conditions at sampling of the clay soil were difficult, and therefore a relatively great variation in bulk density was noted on these cores. There is a risk that the high variability could have influenced the analysis of saturated hydraulic conductivity. The author recommend further investigations on other soil types and studies on the long term effects of the soil conditioner
