Abstract

This report describes processes which give rise to salinization of soils and problems caused by salinization. The report also deals with classification, mapping and sampling of soils, soil conservation and cultivation measures. The report also includes a separate section dealing with specifications and methods for salinity classification in soil and water and salt balance calculations. The purpose of this section is to describe different methods of investigation which illustrate some of the salinity problems described in the theoretical part of this report
