A method and a cell scaffold material for cell culture

Abstract

A recombinant fusion protein, a cell scaffold and a method for the in vitro cultivation and/or differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) are provided. The recombinant fusion protein consists of a cell-binding fragment, fused to a repetitivefragment and a C-terminal fragment derived from a spider silk protein. The cell scaffold material comprises a protein polymer, which is containing the recombinant fusion protein as a repeating structural unit.
