Abstract

The spread of Cameraria ohridella in Sweden and population dynamics were monitored with pheromone traps during 2007-2009. The most northerly location where the moth was trapped and mines were observed was Uppsala (59 degrees 52'N, 17 degrees 38'E). The host plant range of C. ohridella and infestation levels of Aesculus spp. were assessed in southern Sweden. Aesculus hippocastanum and its varieties, A. turbinata and A. x hemiacantha were the most susceptible. No damage was observed on A. x carnea, A. parviflora and A. chinensis
