Myth: Data analytical residuals only contain errors—they are noise! Mythbuster: No, residuals may be(come) your best friend!

Abstract
The Mythbusters show that there is useful information lurking in residuals, e.g. sampling errors (of many kinds), sample processing errors as well as analytical errors. Residuals contain important interpretable information which makes them your best friend!
