Multi-wavelength Airborne Laser Scanning for Characterization of Tree Species
Lindberg, Eva; Briese, Christian; Doneus, Michael; Hollaus, Markus; Schroiff, Anke; Pfeifer, NorbertAbstract
This study analyses ALS data with three different wavelengths (1064 nm, 1550 nm and 532 nm) from a forest area to investigate the potential for tree species classification. Including both spectral and geometric information from ALS data may characterize tree species better than geometric information from one wavelength only. Keywords
