Updating the National Forest Attribute Map using stereo matching of aerial images, the national terrain model and data from the National Forest Inventory?

Abstract

The possibility to produce nation-wide forest attribute maps has been explored using stereo matching of aerial images, the national terrain model and data from the National Forest Inventory. Results are similar to that of ALS based methods, proving image matching to be a future alternative method.
