Global Foresight 2050 : six global scenarios and implications for the forest sector

Sammanfattning

The aim of this report is to inspire organisations to improve theirpreparedness for uncertain and complex alternative developmentsand futures. The authors have been commissioned by the SwedishUniversity of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) to produce global scenariosfor 2050, each one with its implications for the global forest sector.These scenarios are to support strategic operations at SLU and thework of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations’(IUFRO) Task Force Foresight for Forest Sector Planning. Thesescenarios are also intended to be valuable to any other actors involvedin the global forest sector and sectors connected to it.
