Forest monitoring using field inventories is costly and time-consuming. Remote sensing (RS), particularly airborne laser scanning (ALS), provides accurate volume estimates using height and density data. However, frequent ALS surveys are costly. Sampling ALS data instead of full coverage offers a cost-effective alternative, benefiting volume estimation and other forest variables
