Organic compounds in closed hydroponic systems have during recent years been the scape goat for all things going wrong regarding crop performance. But what are they like? Wehre do they come from? And what do they do? Are they really as bad as their reputation. Within the frame of this article, we are dwelling into some of these questions, such as different fractions of organic compounds, oxygen demand, phenolic compounds, harmful concentrations and beneficial compounds
