Elevation of serum thymidine kinase 1 in a bacterial infection: Canine pyometra

Abstract

In conclusion, the TK1 activity was significantly elevated in dogs with pyometra. Further studies are needed to evaluate the mechanism and role of serum TK1 activity in bacterial infections and its possible diagnostic or prognostic value. (C) 2013 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
